The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) non-manufacturing business index fell farther than
economists expected to 55.8 in July.
Economists were expecting a pullback to 59.0 after June s increase to a 14-month high, which economists saw as being on the high side. ISM s June services index was 60.7.
A reading above 50 indicates growth in the sector, while a reading below
50 suggests contraction. |
