This Russia Georgia thing is quite a blow for the US and EU, because
1. Caspian oil is now fully in the hands of Russia. The Strait of Hormuz can be blocked by Iran alone.
2. Look at what happened... Georgia trained and weponized by the US for the last 4 years. What could they do, nothing. What can US do to protect its ally, nothing. (Except verbal intervention).And the EU is good for nothing in general, and got a good exit strategy, namely to dump the US and side with Russia, or at least stay nutral.
3. What are the other countries, like Ukraine etc... going to think now? They'll think, the boss in the Caspian and East European region is still Russia. We also got trained and weponized by US, but what can we do. And if it gets really bad, Russia will win, even with US logistical support. It is out of the question that the US can supply a fighting force.
4. Everybody thinks Russia was in the right to have asserted itself in Georgia.
5. Georgias President was always saying things that turnd out to be untrue afterwards.
6. The people of Ukraine etc., what are they gonna think?
7. I think this was a very well set trap by Russia, actually, and the US ran right into it. This also shows that the Russian generals are more inTELligent too.
8. This trap was set on purpose to show the world, that the US is a paper tiger, with nuclear weapons. This has struck a blow to the US allies.


There are two possibilities here now:
1. The world accepts Russia as super-power, and listen to its concerns and take them seriously, integrate them in their organsations etc...
2. dont want to say...

Both ways the US is in trouble. EU can cosy up to Russia and are out of the woods.
