Oil Trades Near 4-Day High as Iran Prepares Nuclear Statement

Crude oil traded near a four-day high as Iran is expected to notify the United Nations today that the country will continue uranium enrichment, risking economic sanctions that may cut oil supply.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said today that Iran has the right to use nuclear technology for ``peaceful purposes'' and questioned the motives behind a UN resolution calling for the country to stop developing atomic power.
