The British Empire is in its twilight and its influence around the world is not once it was. The German Mark? Germany may be a European stalwart but not a world power. The Japanese Yen? Same reason as Germany but an Asian stalwart. I could go on and on, but surely not the Chinese Yuan. That currency is not even widely traded in world markets.
