LONDON, May 1 (Reuters) - Gold imports by Turkey, one of the
world's top consumers of the metal, slumped more than 90 percent
in April, figures from the Istanbul Gold Exchange showed on
Thursday.
   Turkey's gold bullion imports stood at 1.03 tonnes, up from
a historical low of 675 kilograms in March, but well-below the
12.23 tonnes in April last year.
   Imports in the first four months of the year fell by 32.6
percent to 33.33 tonnes, compared with the same period a year
ago, the Exchange data showed.
