Title: NYMEX to Increase Margins for Gold and Silver Futures Contracts

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 3, 2006 — The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced margin changes for its gold and silver futures contracts, effective as of the close of business tomorrow.

Margins for the May, June, August, October, and December 2006 gold futures contracts will increase to $2,750 from $2,250 for clearing and non-clearing members and to $3,713 from $3,038 for customers. All other months will remain unchanged.

Margins for the May, June, July, and September 2006 silver futures contracts will increase to $6,000 from $4,500 for clearing and non-clearing members and to $8,100 from $6,075 for customers. All other months will remain unchanged.

Title: NYMEX to Change Margins for Natural Gas Basis Swap Futures Contract

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 2, 2006 — The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced margin changes for its Transco Zone 6 natural gas basis swap futures contract, as of the close of business tomorrow.

Margins for the first through sixth months will remain unchanged. The margins on the seventh through 12th months will increase to $1,000 from $400 for clearing members, to $1,100 from $440 for members, and to $1,350 from $540 for customers. Margins on all other months will increase to $1,000 from $500 for clearing members, to $1,100 from $550 for members, and to $1,350 from $675 for customers.

利好利淡似乎要視乎金價走向，因按金本身對買賣雙方都做成障礙，要留意仍有很多金礦公司都有以沽期貨做對沖的，他們亦面對著帳面損失，而對沖成本亦相應增加。總之，若金價以一明確單走向移動，最為不利應是對反方向做的那一邊炒家。故按金增加不一定是利淡黃金的！
昨晚臨收盤前金價突然回升上677及紐約收市後再逢炒高至680，可見沽盤昨日已先輸一仗！
