Crude oil fell in New York after BP Plc said it will keep half the Prudhoe Bay field in Alaska open and as a cease-fire nears between Israeli and Iranian-backed Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.

BP, the world's third-largest oil company, plans to pump about 200,000 barrels a day from the western part of Prudhoe while pipelines from the rest of the field are repaired, the company said Aug. 12. The monthlong conflict in Lebanon, which helped push oil to a record $78.40 a barrel last month, may halt with a cease-fire scheduled to take effect later today.

Crude oil for September delivery fell as much as 75 cents, or 1 percent, to $73.60 a barrel in after-hours electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was at $73.69 at 8:30 a.m. in Singapore.

委内瑞拉石油部周五公布数据显示，截止8月4日当周委内瑞拉原油和成品油一揽子平均价格上涨1美元/桶，升至64.37美元/桶。今年截止目前该价格的平均值为58.21美元/桶，而2005年全年平均价格为45.39美元/桶
委内瑞拉宣称自己拥有800亿桶原油蕴藏量，是中东以外最大的石油藏量。加上奥利诺科河谷开采，预计到2008年底其地储藏量还将可能上升到3150亿桶

请问这个信息属实，会对有价上涨有控制作用吗？？
