FED 加息压力減少,对金价利好。
Prices paid to U.S. producers increased less than forecast in July, pointing to an easing of inflationary pressures anticipated by the Federal Reserve.
The 0.1 percent increase followed a 0.5 percent rise in June, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The core rate, which excludes food and energy, unexpectedly dropped 0.3 percent, the first decline since October. Computers, new vehicles and men's clothing were cheaper last month.
The report offers comfort to Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and his colleagues, who skipped an interest-rate increase last week and are counting on slower growth to contain inflation. Bonds rose and the dollar fell as traders speculated the Fed is almost done lifting borrowing costs.
